ABSTRACT:
The drug procurement by the Public
Administration in a timely and sustainable manner, given
the specificities of the sector and management mechanisms
deficit, has been one of the major bottlenecks in the effective
dispensing of medicines to the population. This article aims to
reflect on the current situation of the procurement system of
medicines by the Government, with the substrate experiences
faced in the State of Acre and revision of laws governing
matter, encouraging discussions towards better understand the
industry, and hence contribute to the effective performance of
Directors in fulfilling the constitutional obligation to health.
